The First Meeting of the Study Committee on the Transformation of AIPA Advisory Council on Dangerous Drugs, AIPACODD, for Enhanced Cooperation on Transnational Crimes was held at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia. The meeting took place from 28th until 29th of January.

Representing the country's Legislative Council was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Member of the Legislative Council. In line with the objective, the meeting discussed the proposed transformation of AIPACODD into a new mechanism to address issues related to transnational crime more broadly, from the perspective of strategic needs and value as well as potential alignment with ASEAN's political security agenda.

Also held were presentation sessions by delegations from ASEAN countries, as well as invited organisations including the ASEAN Senior Officials on Drug Matters; United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism. The meeting agreed to strengthen the function of AIPA in addressing issues related to transnational crime which will be further presented during the 47th AIPA General Assembly
